Cost Share Rules: IFIP (Iowa Financial Incentive Program)
Requirements for IFIP: Must own 10 acres and produce $2500 worth of agriculture commodity.

Cost-share will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. There is a total of $10,349.00 available through the IFIP program, with $3,104.70 of that money available for tillage practices.

Cost-share will be estimated and agreed upon, in writing, between the office and the landowner.

Tenant can only sign for the landowner if Clay County SWCD has a power of attorney (POA) document on file.

No work will begin on a project until it has been approved at a commissioners' meeting.

Landowner is only guaranteed up to 50% of the estimated cost or the actual cost, whichever is less.

You can only apply and get paid for a tillage practice once. The maximum is $10 per acre with a 100 acre limit.

All practices require signing a maintenance agreement with the exception of tillage practices.

Requirements for REAP: Must grow and agricultural commodity (the commercial production of food and fiber) to be eligible for REAP. There is no acre limit or dollar limit.

Cost-share will be allocated on a first come, first serve basis. There is a total of $7,369.29 available through the REAP-P program

Cost-share will be estimated and agreed upon, in writing, between the office and the landowner.

Cost-share will be estimated and agreed upon, in writing, between the office and the landowner.
