On September 7, 2017 the Clay City Branch of Crop Production Services is holding their annual customer appreciation fish fry dinner. The fish fry dinner is free of charge, and the event will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m.
At this event there will be the opportunity to view a cover crop demo plot, provided by Byron Seed dealer Ron Scherb. In addition to seeing the different varieties and mixes of cover crops, Doris Scully (NRCS Tech Team Leader) and Brian Morgan (Vermillion County Farmer) will be in attendance to answer any cover crop management questions that you may have.
This is a great opportunity to get answers to many cover crop management questions such as how to deal with termination, insects, slug damage, and planting into standing cover crops. Laura Stearley, our District Technician will also be in attendance to provide information on our various grant programs including the Clean Water Indiana Grant (CWI), and the Lower Eel River Watershed 319 Grant.
